There was no official parking lot at the starting location, so I parked to the side of a partial entry (
located here). The path was a combination of fine gravel areas and asphalt/rock regions. The canal is still wide in spots and the south bank bends in and out. My favorite part in this stretch was another aqueduct! The water underneath the canal was a beautiful babbling brook. Numerous turtles were out on this sunny day and even one propped itself upon a lily pad! Behind the trees lining the canal and bike path were farms and fields. Another beautiful day!
