It was another hot day so I decided to do a sunset ride. I started out a little later than I hoped to get my ride in before it got too dark. It was going to be close. When I was almost there, I came to a road closed because of construction which didn't show on google maps. The closure was where the road crossed over I80. This meant I had to backtrack a way to find another road that crossed over the interstate. When I finally got to the
starting point, the sun was close to setting and the moon was getting brighter. I decided to still ride so I set a faster pace than usual and headed on. I passed a cute camping spot Hickory Grove Camp Ground and RV park that had a dock on the canal. I crossed under I80, went over a metal bridge, and reached my turnaround point, the Canal State Park. Fortunately, the ride was shorter than normal. As the sun was setting on the return trip, the nats became worse, I'm sure I swallowed several! It was still an exhilarating ride! I made it back to the car before dark!
