County Rd 1890 East until the End! (Which is the beginning!) about 8 miles Sept 5 2021

I made it to the end (which is the start of the trail)!  I'm so excited that I completed my goal, and a little sad at the same time.  I truly enjoyed the adventure.  Today I started at County Rd 1890 East at this parking.  The trail is on the other side of the canal, so I rode over there.  Once again, there were lots of locks and dams.  Went past lock and dams 9 through 3.  The path was a little larger gravely in areas.  It was a beautiful day for a ride, with beautiful flowers and all the locks and dams!  The canal varied in width, with some narrow sections, and other wide spots. Close to the end, by Lock 3, there was a bigger parking lot with information about the canal located here.  I almost stopped for the day there (I usually don't ride 8 miles one-way, 16 miles round trip) but the end was too close. When I got to the end, I wanted a bigger hurrah! Maybe a group cheering my finish, but there is just a small parking lot and a sign on the trail that says END.  I will have to just bask in my accomplishment myself and share it with anyone who reads this!  Make your own adventure - the Hennepin trail is well worth the journey!
